If you are sitting on a chair, place your feet shoulder-width apart and parallel to each other. If you are practicing sitting on the floor, you can meditate in the lotus position, half-lotus position, or cross-legged.   Once you have assumed a comfortable sitting position, place your hands, palms facing upwards, relaxed on your thighs.<\/p><p>If you wish to meditate lying down, that is also possible. Lie relaxed on your back with your arms loosely beside your body.  <\/p><p>Close your eyes and gently place the tip of your tongue against your upper palate. Relax your body and calm your mind. Smile.
