This spring, I had the opportunity to present my work on this topic to an international professional audience in a special way: as part of the conference “Tai Chi & Qigong as Whole Person Health” at the Osher Center for Integrative Health, in cooperation with Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Qigong and Wei Qi treatments for nerve regeneration, for example after a stroke

For the first time, I presented a scientific poster here. The focus was on a topic that has accompanied me for many years: the possible role of Qigong and Wei Qi treatments—targeted energy transmissions—in nerve regeneration, especially after a stroke or after surgical procedures on the nervous system.

Many people experience significant limitations in motor function after such events—their ability to walk or grasp is restricted, and with it their quality of life and self-determination. In my practical work with medical Qigong, however, it repeatedly becomes clear that targeted exercises and energetic treatments can support processes that reactivate the connection between brain and body. Especially in the field of Qigong for stroke, this opens up possibilities that go beyond purely mechanical rehabilitation.

The poster presents initial case observations and experiential findings and attempts to put them into a form that is also comprehensible in a scientific context. It is a first step toward connecting the experiences of traditional Qigong practice with the requirements of modern research—a bridge between millennia-old knowledge and today’s integrative medicine.

Qigong and Wei Qi strengthen inner alignment, breathing, and energetic regulation

Especially in the regeneration of cranial nerves, it becomes clear that not only physical movement, but also inner alignment, breathing, and energetic regulation can play an essential role. The combination of Qigong exercises and Wei Qi treatments can help strengthen self-regulation processes and promote healing impulses.

The encounters on site were characterized by open exchange with physicians, researchers, and therapists from various countries. The interest in Qigong for neurological conditions and in holistic approaches to nerve regeneration was clearly palpable. At the same time, it became evident how great the potential is to further research these methods and integrate them into modern health concepts.

I do not see this presentation as an end, but as a beginning. My aim is to make the possibilities of Qigong—especially in the area of nerve healing and rehabilitation—more accessible and to build bridges between practice and science.

For the first time, Grandmaster Buyin Zheng brings his experience with Qigong and Wei-Qi treatments, including in the treatment of stroke consequences, into international scientific discourse—at one of the leading conferences on integrative medicine.

[30
56,63,59,65,67,62,54,60,68,53,64,51,58,61,57,66,52,55
post-4969","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-general","tag-energy-transmission","tag-energy-work","tag-experiences-in-cranial-nerve-regeneration","tag-healing","tag-holistic-therapy","tag-improve-motor-skills","tag-medical-qigong","tag-natural-methods","tag-nerve-damage","tag-nerve-regeneration","tag-nervous-system","tag-qigong","tag-qigong-after-stroke","tag-qigong-for-paralysis","tag-qigong-integrative-medicine","tag-rehabilitation-after-surgery","tag-stroke","tag-wei-qi-treatment
["GET
